2014 seyval blanc ready to pick

photo-22 photo-21 Leaves now stripped out of the fruiting zone, giving more sun exposure and quicker drying if there’s a shower, like yesterday and today.  Brix now averaging 15.5, with a low of 14.2 and high of 17.6.  Apparently 14-17 is about what is achievable at this latitude, so we will be picking the south side in the next day or so, and the north side a couple of days after.

As can be seen I need a more robust training system to carry the fruit weight, either stout single poles, or a 2-wire trellis of metal stakes, and less fruit.
