WSET style tasting note
Appearance: clear and bright, medium intensity amber, showing tears.
Nose: clean on the nose, with a pronounced intensity, fully developed, with lifted aromas of caramelised citrus, an oxidised sherry note, warm toffee, rich warm honey, chopped walnuts and warmed curry spices.
Palate: an off-dry wine, with high acidity, the slightest gummy grip, fortified high, with a medium (+) body, of pronounced intensity, with flavours of well stewed over-ripe citrus, a rich sherried note, toffee and caramel. A long length with a crisp clean finish.
Quality: an outstanding quality wine, with crisp acidity in balance with alcohol and the intensity of flavour. A wine of good complexity with a high level of flavour concentration. This wine is ready to drink, will keep for decades, but will not improve with cellaring.
