This wine: Organic, named after the Indian runner ducks that pest control the vineyards, varietal chenin blanc, 13% abv, Out of This World Organic Supermarket, £9.60 (2015)

Consumer tasting note: dry, medium bodied, fresh acidity, lots of yellow citrus, with softer touches of apple, stone fruit and coconut, ripe citrus infused length.

Appearance: clear and bright, pale intensity lemon, showing tears

Nose: clean, medium (+) intensity, youthful, with aromas of ripe grapefruit, lemon pith, lemon juice, a touch of warmer apricot and broom.

Palate: dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol, medium body, medium (+) intensity, a smooth texture with no grip, with flavours of ripe grapefruit, lemon pith, ripe green apple and broom. Medium (+) length with a clean citrussy finish.

Quality: a good quality well made wine, with brisk acidity in keeping with alcohol and flavour intensity, youthful with a mainly citrus profile, but some warmer elements, no complexity but decent flavour concentration, leading to a decent length with a fresh citrussy finish.

Readiness for drinking/ageing potential: drink now, not suitable for ageing.  No attributes suggest suitability for ageing.
